Doodle Diva Gallery is back on the map!!!

Hello everyone!! My name is Chris, and I have been a HUGE fan of Karen's Doodles since the beginning! When Karen asked me to take over the Doodle Diva Gallery, I was thrilled, and honoured, to help her out!!! My goal is to make this a "user friendly" place where you can browse Doodle Diva's samples using Karen's GREAT images!!!

For those of you who don't know, Doodle Divas are YOU!!! Her loyal fans and followers!!!

I am hoping to have slide shows, techniques, tutorials, games, featured artists, giveaways and FUN!!!! So, once you have made a project - card, scrapbook page, 3D art, altered art, etc. PLEASE email it to me at this NEW ADDRESS: doodledivagallery@hotmail.ca and I will upload it to the slide show! You can see your art displayed along side the other Doodle Divas!! If you are looking for inspiration or some great ideas, browse around the slide shows, there will be a lot of inspiring samples to look through!!!

(Please note: I am currently having "issues" with the old doodle diva email, so if you have sent in cards to that address recently, I WILL win this battle and get them OFF of there, and into the slideshows. If I don't reply to your emails, I apologize ahead of time - it is fighting me HARD on this!!! LOL)

So, with that all said, please be patient as we will be under construction for a few days!! I will work as hard as I can to get this blog up and running in full force and I REALLY hope you will all join us, and tell all your friends to come too!!!! If there is anything you want to see on this blog, please let me know!!! THANKS!!!!

I am going to put all the photos into slideshows according to the shopping categories that Karen has in her new shop. I think that will be the easiest way for you to find what you are looking for!!! HAVE FUN!!!

Sandy said "I printed First Snowfall onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.

I added Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge to the fur trim on the coats and hats. I purchased some great paper made by Core'dinations, part of the Whitewash Collection. It has a wonderful whitewashed texture on the front with a color core. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug snowflake folder, then sanded the white washing off to reveal the light blue core of the snowflakes. The snowflake border is from Martha Stewart. The saying is from Inky Antics. Finished size is 5 1/2" square."

Bigsby Freebie cards by Lisa and Mary Lou

Lisa from Wishcraft Cards used our Bigsby Freebie to make a card for a friend of her Hubbie's for his 40th Birthday. She says"He's coloured with promarkers, with a little bit of sakura clear glitter pen here and there. The papers are Doodlebug with coredinations cardstock. Used the Martha Stewart scallop dot punch for the border strip, and added rainbow drops in the scallops - this looks quite nice in 'real life' but in the photo the rainbow drops look a bit strange! Sentiment is a Pink Petticoat download."

Huggin Mary has out done herself on this one. I only hope you can see all the wonderful details.I tried several ways to capture all the details.

Well here you go ladies,a real face to the name! Here is Huggin Mary and Doodle Queen Karen, now I know they are both going to LOVE me for putting this picture up.
This is from convention this past weekend...look at those beautiful smiles how could I not post this picture.
Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and show you what I am thankful for.
Good friends, laughter, and crafting are the best!!!

This is another card Huggin Mary made for us to use on our display at convention.Can you believe all the wonderful details in this card? Huggin Mary likes to do putszy projects and it really shows in her projects.That Bigsby List image was embossed on vellum and then colored. She also used some liquid applique to add some more detail.

Can you see the Santa image on the background writing his Christmas list? Now how great an idea is this card? Just had to share with all of you...remember to leave her some love so she knows how much you enjoy her cards and projects.

What We did at Convention

This was one of the stations where attendees could stop and color and receive a bag gift box.

We had such a wonderful time meeting future DOODLE DIVAS...

How About a Christmas Moose???

This first card was made by my friend Mary (huggin Mary)...she stamped the new rubber stamp of this fun image of a moose made by Karen's Doodles.

This second card is done by me and I used the digital image of the same moose from Karen's Doodles.
Can you see that it is fun to try different ways to make cards? We both had fun playing with the new moose. I colored mine with Copics and I really like the look, I just wish I had more colors to give this image a better color palette.

This little box is a rubber stamped image I had sitting on my work table and didn't want to toss it away.I just made a matchbox slider box...I got the pattern from The Toy Maker.

I used watercolor pencils and mineral spirits.

Couple of Cards using Emma Bear

Wanted to show you a couple cards using Emma Bear. This first card was done by Mary using the new rubber stamp of Emma.

This second card was done by me using the digital image of Emma the bear...I used this card for Unscripted Sketches sketch this week.

While we are at One Of A Kind Convention we are using this image for the Make N Take. The first picture is the Digital image I printed out to use inside the box. The box pattern is from Stampin Up.It is a sneak peek at another Bigsby image and I like how he is peering outside the scallop- I put a piece of acetate over this scallop, it helps hold in the crinkle paper and candy added.

This card was made by Mary and she used the rubber stamp of Bigsby in the stocking

This next picture shows that she made Bigsby movable. The stamp set she used is from Close to my Heart.

Before I get to the Featured Diva, I have to apologize for not choosing a diva for last week. We had some major changes at work (I'm a teacher) and the end result was really late nights for me at work, and NO time for anything but work.....needless to say, the Diva Gallery was neglected, but I am here to fix that now! Hopefully things at work slow down now so I can stay on top of things!!!!! So, what I did, is I combined the 2 entries from Week 11 and the 5 entries from Week 12 and had my DH choose 1 winner!!!! Featured Diva!!

Hello Doodle Divas!!! It is time for some fun & prizes!!!!!

Each Friday, I will be having a FEATURED DIVA represented on this blog in a SPECIAL SLIDESHOW!!!!

To enter to be a FEATURED DIVA, all you have to do is submit a card, layout, or any project to doodledivagallery@hotmail.ca before the next Friday. Please put in the subject area "Featured Diva" so I know it is your submission!!!

Please submit only ONE CARD or PROJECT per person, per week. It can be anything you've made with ANY Karen's Doodles images, it can be one you submitted for a challenge or one you made for fun!!!

After all the creations have come in by the next Friday at Midnight (MST), I will choose 1 lucky Diva to be our FEATURED DIVA for the week!!! Their card will be put into the FEATURED DIVA slideshow for all to see!!! Their card will also be put into the regular slideshows as well!!!!And the prizes don't end there......but that lucky Diva will get to choose TWO Karen's Doodles images!!!! How awesome eh?

**NOTE** I will draw a FEATURED DIVA from the first 10 entries I get. I won't have the biweekly contest as I'm not getting a lot of entries anymore.....so I decided to try it this way!!!
